STEP 1 – Initial Phone Meeting
Before committing your time and ours, this 15-minute phone call will give us both a chance to make sure your situation matches our expertise and if working together would be a good fit. If we aren’t a good fit, we will gladly point you in the right direction.
STEP 2 – Discovery Meeting
This meeting is held at our cost, either virtual or in person at our Tunbridge Wells office and lasts anywhere between 1-1.5 hours.
The purpose of this meeting is to understand your current financial situation but also your values, goals and any concerns you might have.
At the end of this meeting, we will explain the value we can add and the fees involved for the work to be done. There will never be a rush to make a decision and we encourage you to take some time to consider.
If you happy to proceed, there will be our engagement document to sign so we can begin building your financial plan.
STEP 3 – Our Analysis
This is where we gather information of your current financial situation and conduct an in-depth analysis of your financial life, including all financial products and investments. As part of the analysis, we evaluate your information by using financial planning software and identify opportunities and strategies that align to your personal values and objectives.
As part of the analysis, we will help you answer the following four questions:
- Can you afford to retire?
- Are you paying too much in taxes?
- What risks can I eliminate?
- How much can I pass to my children or my loved ones without impacting my retirement plans?
STEP 4 – Financial Plan Presentation & Implementation
At this meeting, we will present your bespoke financial plan and discuss in detail the recommendations and advice given.
Once you understand the advice and are happy to proceed with the financial plan, we will implement the agreed strategy for you. For example, this may be setting up an investment or consolidating tax-wrappers.
STEP 5 – Ongoing Advice & Support
Our Ongoing Advice Service provides regular monitoring and advice of your financial affairs to determine whether you are on track to meet your objectives and ensure your financial plan remains in line with legislation and other external factors.
Although we will be keeping contact with you throughout the year for the ongoing monitoring, we plan to have a formal review of your situation once a year. This will allow us to update your plan, refine your portfolio for performance and tax efficiency, adjust your withdrawal strategy (if necessary) as well as determine the agreed actions for the upcoming year.
Additionally, you will have access to you own finance portal which aggregates your overall wealth in a single view as well as be able to track your net worth, cash flow and various reports.
